Dissecting the multinational business focus in Germany: how recent laws on company supply chains, public procurement, and even failed legislation on corporate criminal liability can affect how an organization plans for the future

With a growing number of countries concerned about human rights violations throughout the EU, Germany has introduced its own Federal Supply Chain Act to combat bad behavior at every business level, causing a ripple effect that has yet to be determined. Alongside the addition of a recent public procurement register, and the likelihood of corporate criminal liability to be at the forefront of the federal agenda next year, companies doing business in Germany will need to re-assess their resources and prepare for new processes and procedures as they consider working within the country. Our subject matter experts will help to guide the audience on the future of business in Germany.

This webinar will:

  • summarize the Public Procurement Register and who is affected;
  • review the German Federal Supply Chain Act and predict just how widespread this law’s reach; and
  • discuss the failed corporate criminal liability legislation and its likelihood of being passed in the future.
