Although data analytics and AI has been a common topic in recent years, interest in AI further surged following the release of ChatGPT in December 2022 and is revolutionizing the way that work gets done. Join our panelists as they discuss the risks and benefits of AI and data analytics, as well as providing practical guidance for how to justify the cost and value-adds to leadership, how to continually evolve with new changes, and how to analyze and use data. The panelists will also demonstrate how data analytics and AI can be used to identify and respond to corruption.

Dipo Akin-Deko

Dipo is the Head of Legal for BowerGroupAsia, Inc., a business advisory and government relations firms that provides services clients throughout South, Southeast Asia, and Australia. In his role as Head of Legal, Dipo leads and manages the global contracting, compliance, and legal operations for BowerGroupAsia (“BGA”).  


Dipo is a lawyer by trade over with 18 years of contract drafting, negotiation, compliance, and litigation experience. Prior to joining BGA, he served as counsel and legal consultant for several non-profit and government contractors in the Washington, D.C. metro area.


Dipo holds a juris doctorate degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University and a Master of Law in litigation and alternative dispute resolution from the George Washington University Law School.

Koutayba Yamak is a Partner in the Investigations & Forensics Services Practice at PwC. He has over 18 years of experience conducting anti-corruption/anti-bribery investigations, forensic accounting and financial statement fraud investigations, including investigations related to the application of US GAAP and IFRS. He has extensive experience in a wide range of industries including healthcare, technology, pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, telecommunications, and manufacturing.

 

Koutayba has led a large number of corruption investigations, and ABAC compliance assessments in various countries in Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, and the Middle East. He has presented findings of his investigations to several regulators, including the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

 

Koutayba holds a Masters of Business Administration from University of Maryland and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Lebanese American University, Lebanon. He was a guest lecturer on Forensic Accounting at Wake Forest University, University of Maryland, University of Virginia, and the Catholic University of America. Speaker at the 2011 White Collar Crime Panel at Kogod School of Business, American University.

Jennie Wang VonCannon is a technology trial lawyer and advisor with a proven track record of success in both the courtroom and the boardroom — with over two decades of experience and deep understanding of corporate defense in both criminal and civil contexts, cybersecurity, and intellectual property matters. She is a trained AI Governance Professional who can assist clients with creating or updating compliance programs regarding AI (both generative and otherwise).  She served for over eleven years as a federal prosecutor, culminating in her selection to serve with distinction as the Deputy Chief of the Cyber and Intellectual Property Crimes Section of the National Security Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.

 

Jennie helps clients in crisis with litigation, internal investigations, law enforcement and regulatory inquiries and subpoenas, and cybersecurity and privacy incidents.
