Australian Modern Slavery Reporting Reminders and Resources

Modern slavery is an umbrella term covering human trafficking, slavery, servitude, forced labor, debt bondage, forced marriage and child labor. Enacted in 2019, the Australian Modern Slavery Act mandates that companies based, or operating, in Australia with a revenue of AUD 100 million are now required to annually disclose the risk of modern slavery in their operations and supply chains to the Australian Border Force. Entities with an annual financial reporting period between 1 July to 30 June (Australian Financial Year) are required to submit their statement by 31 March 2021.
