Although August can be a slow month, several new investigations have recently to light, either through SEC disclosures (Illinois healthcare-services company Stericycle reporting having received an FCPA-related subpoena; Ohio consulting firm Teradata disclosing its discovery of a subsidiary’s “questionable expenditures” in Turkey), or through the work of investigative journalists (the Sydney Morning Herald reporting Iluka Resources’ discovery of possible bribes to high-ranking Sierra Leone officials; the Daily Telegraph noting the investigation of French president Sarkozy in connection with the Qatar bid for the 2022 World Cup). There have also been notable developments in the Odebrecht, Bombardier, and Rolls Royce cases.

Visit the TRACE Compendium to view the complete entries on these cases, along with other updates from this month.
