Nicole Velandia is the leading partner of the Anticorruption, Compliance and Corporate Governance practice of Accuracy Legal and Consulting, a boutique law firm in Mexico. She advises her clients on the following Compliance matters: design, implementation and enhancement of compliance programs; risk assessments, third party due diligence, M&A and transactional due diligence; corporate investigations; litigation and defense on compliance matters and compliance training.
Nicole is a Mexican Licensed attorney graduated from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM). She is also a Licensed Specialist in Injuction Procedure, as well as a Governance and Public Management Master graduate from the Instituto Universitario de Investigación Ortega y Gasset.
Mrs. Velandia has over 22 years of legal experience in both the government and business sectors. Her professional background spans working as a technical specialist, as well as holding managerial responsibilities and leading high performing teams. Throughout her career, Nicole has been able to create, advance and implement relevant programs, which have favorably changed the dynamics of anticorruption and compliance guidelines in both the Public Sector and private companies, proving her ability to plan, negotiate and implement relevant endeavors, both with senior officials and workers alike.
Additionally, Nicole is a member of the faculty of the Anticorruption Master's Degree at the Universidad Panamericana, where she teaches the subject of Implementation of Compliance Programs.
