Sales and Business Development Associate

Our organization is expanding and we have an opening for a junior sales and business development associate. Ideal candidates will be results-driven and have an understanding of the consultative, intangible relationship-based sales role. You must be equally effective at generating and qualifying new sales leads as well as managing relationships and identifying product opportunities for TRACE. This position has extraordinary growth potential as TRACE develops its business in new markets.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Prospect, qualify and develop Sales Leads Pipeline (in assigned territories)
  • Manage assigned inbound prospects, follow-up demand-generation activities and execute lead generation activities, including: calls, webinars, email campaigns
  • Work to develop leads into real sales opportunities through building rapport with contacts by understanding where the prospect is in the buying process, offering stage appropriate resources and answering any additional high-level product specific questions the prospect may have
  • Analyze prospect requirements in terms of current business needs, identifying opportunities and scoping potential for TRACE products
  • Rate leads per established criteria and pass qualified opportunities off to appropriate senior team member
  • Research prospective client companies to identify potential sales opportunities and execute programs to develop relationships with key individuals within target markets
  • Drive attendance to company sponsored events such as regional workshops
  • Improve KPIs (e.g., conversion rates, acquisition rates, retention rates)
  • Work closely with the marketing team to identify speaking and sponsorship opportunities
  • Partner effectively with appropriate senior staff to schedule appointments with prospective customers
  • Research potential new prospects using various resources, including the Internet
  • Develop and communicate ongoing improvements to the process of prospecting for generating and qualifying leads
  • Maintain the CRM database with current and future prospects
  • Record all communication, call notes and lead qualification activity into Salesforce.com CRM system

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline
  • 1-3 years experience in sales and business development
  • Proven track record in delivering against team sales revenue objectives
  • Proven ability to close the right type of business at the highest levels
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and market dynamics
  • Ability to overcome competitive sales objections and position product against competition and customer needs

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of due diligence and FCPA/anti-bribery compliance
  • Experience working in the legal or compliance space in a sales/business development role
  • Outstanding communications and presentation skills
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and make decisions independently

TRACE Due Diligence Associate Positions

We are currently hiring for our due diligence business.  A key component of anti-bribery compliance is a due diligence review of commercial intermediaries.

TRACE is seeking analytical and process-oriented individuals to prepare due diligence reports on businesses and individuals operating in overseas markets.  Candidates must have a college degree or relevant research and/or large-firm paralegal experience.

Ideal candidates:

  • Are detail-oriented and highly organized;
  • Possess strong time-management, analytical and issue-spotting skills; and
  • Can multi-task and prioritize among many different assignments.

Preferred candidates are multi-lingual, have an understanding of corporate ownership structures and are familiar with Westlaw.

TRACE is particularly interested in candidates proficient in Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese or Russian.


TRAC Analyst Positions

We are currently hiring for one of our due diligence services -- TRAC. TRAC is an online platform that captures, assesses and shares baseline due diligence information on organizations and individuals and assigns a unique, universally-recognized ID number to all approved applicants. TRACE is seeking analytical and process-oriented individuals to review and analyze TRAC applications.

 Ideal candidates:

  • Are detail-oriented and highly organized;
  • Possess strong time-management, analytical and issue-spotting skills; and
  • Can multi-task and prioritize among many different assignments.

TRACE is particularly interested in candidates proficient in Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Italian or Hebrew. A college degree is preferred.
